there are various faces you can make when someone is taking a photo, or if you are trying to ruin someone else's photo. if you take and shake your head from side to side while keeping your lips and cheeks loose, it'll end up looking like you're getting punched in the face by an invisible man. this apparently is called "jauling" pronounced jowelling:
it's really about luck and timing, because if your photgrapher doesn't take the photo at just the right time you end up looking like a tool or a drunk as demonstrated by ross and kristen:
